It’s March and we can all feel it: the winter coat can finally stay on the coat rack a bit more often. The heavy, dark winter beers are slowly giving way to the fresh, fruity character of a delicious spring bock. And that means many beer lovers are starting to get restless. The mancave doors are opening and we’re more than happy to move our trusted home bar to the backyard!
However, setting up a good outdoor bar is an art in itself. Inside your mancave, you’ve likely nailed the atmosphere with cool signs, the right lighting, and your favorite glasses within reach. But as soon as we head outside, we’re often suddenly staring at a bare wooden fence under the patio cover. What a shame! Time to extend that authentic pub atmosphere right into your garden.
A robust beer mirror or a few rugged metal wall signs do wonders for the atmosphere under your veranda. Besides that, make it easy on yourself: screw a permanent bottle opener onto the wooden post of your patio cover or keep a sturdy opener on your garden table at all times. After all, nothing kills your moment of relaxation in the spring sun like finding out the opener is still on the kitchen counter inside.
Of course, we all know the unpredictable Dutch spring weather, so make sure you’re a bit sheltered. After all, nobody wants their carefully poured spring bock diluted by an unexpected March rain shower. Sitting somewhere dry? Then it’s time to enjoy.
And speaking of enjoying: the love for a good beer in the sun luckily doesn't stop at the border. Recently, we’ve increasingly been asked if our beer gifts and mancave items could also be delivered to our southern neighbors. That’s why we have fantastic news: Bierblij.nl now officially ships to Belgium as well! 🇧🇪 So whether your patio is in Veendam, Maastricht, or the heart of Antwerp, we’ll make sure the good times come your way.
Which spring bock will you be opening first this weekend to usher in the spring? Get those glasses out, take a look in our webshop to decorate your outdoor mancave, and enjoy the sunshine.
Cheers to the spring! 🍻 Team Bierblij
